I am primarily a action shot photographer. How would you rate the sony a55 to the cannon 7d. I am a semi- professional would you recommend it.

Right now Canon has a much larger selection of lenses than can handle fast action at the semi-professional level. The 7D would be a much better option at this point for the type of photography that you specialize in.
