Hey Canon SX210 IS owners! Looking for the PowerShot SX210 IS user guide in a downloadable format? Here you go…
You can download the Official Canon SX210 IS user guide in a PDF document by clicking here (this PDF manual is provided by Canon).
If you’d rather download the manual from Canon’s website, just go to the SX210 IS resource page located here: www.usa.canon.com
- Once you’ve reached the SX210 IS homepage, click on the “Drivers & Downloads” tab.
- Then scroll down to the “Guides & Manuals” section. In this area you will see a bunch of guides available. Locate the one labeled “PowerShot SX210 IS Camera User Guide”.
- Then click on the PDF link to download the manual instantly to your computer.
Those of you who don’t know what a PDF is, it’s basically a digital document that you can view instantly on your computer. Most computers come pre-installed with Adobe Reader which is a free software program used to display PDF documents. Just Google “Adobe Reader” to find the latest version available on Adobe’s website.

i recently purchased the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS. i love it so far. but i am getting really frustrated with one thing tho. for some reason i can not figure out how to view my pics on my tv using the hdmi. i bought a new hdmi mini for the camera. i read what the manual says as far as connecting with hdmi and it does not work. the camera screen never goes blank when its connected and nothing ever shows up on the tv. i have tried several tvs too. but if i connect the av cables it will work right away…
am i taking crazy pills???? please say someone can help me.
the manual was no help at all.
i basically been learnign everythign from this site.
thanks
jake
Jake,
Make sure the camera and TV are both off. Plug everything in and turn on the TV. Change the input to the source where the HDMI plug is inserted. Turn on the camera by pressing the playback button. That should solve your viewing problem. If not, double check the video output settings inside the setup menu. They need to match the same settings as the TV.

Being able to access this information was wonderful and convenient
Thanks for your efforts.
Yes, thank you very much, I didn’t have a manual either. Or lost it?!
Something I want to precise. I have a MacIntosh. I had to download the manual with Firefox, does’t do it with Apple. But I can read the manual.
Regards.
Thanks Moose,
I got the macro down now!!! It took a little while to get use to this camera but all in all I’m happy with it. My only real complaint is the zoom “button” on top of the camera … I’d much rather have the traditional style! But with all the other great things I’ll over look it :) Thanks Again for your help!!!
Jo,
I’m glad you’re picking it up! If you’ve got an online photo gallery somewhere I’d love to see your shots. Yes, I don’t care for the new zoom switch on the SX210 IS…I prefer the zoom ring found on the previous model, the SX200 IS.

I’m having a hard time in the macro mode. I just can’t seem to get the camera to focus up close to take a close picture. The manuel says it can shoot from 2 inches away and I’m a foot away without luck. Have any idea what I’m doing wrong? Thanks for this site it’s been a great help in other areas as well!!! Jo
Jo,
You’ll need to enable macro mode. The instructions are on page 71 of the manual. Hope that helps :)

Thanks for posting this! can’t believe the manual didn’t come with the camera (at least not mine!) … so nice that you had this link/directions there. Very helpful.
Marina,
Glad the link/directions helped! :)
