Editing Software & Apps
Included Software
Nikon includes free organizing and editing software with the D7100.
- ViewNX-i – Browse and organize photos and videos
- Capture NX-D – Edit and process NEF (RAW) images
Recommended Software
Personally, I’ve never been a big fan of Nikon’s organizing/editing apps. I highly recommend Adobe Lightroom. It’s super simple to use, yet extremely powerful. Best of all, you can organize and edit with the same program.
Mobile Apps
If you want to edit images on your mobile device, you can connect the D7100 wirelessly to your iOS (iPhone/iPad) or Android device using the Nikon Wireless Mobile Utility App (see the links below).
Once connected, you’ll be able to transfer photos to your mobile device and edit them using an array of apps.
